We’re pleased to announce that the Delta Group has been nominated for the Large Format Printer of the Year award at the 40th Irish Print Awards!
This year we have been recognised for our fantastic work with Applegreen on the Lavazza Scooter free standing display unit, and the “Girl and The Cloud” window display unit with Three Ireland that ran at Christmas 2016. Congrats to everyone involved!
This latest award adds to an impressive award season for Delta that has seen us, in the closing few months of 2017, nominated for a number of high-profile industry awards (such as the Drum DADI and Network Awards), while we walked away as double Gold and Silver winners in October’s POPAI Awards.
Applegreen plc, the Irish, UK and US petrol forecourt chain, required the Lavazza Coffee brand to be brought to life instore in a number of key outlets. The Delta Group was required to design, produce and install a large display piece in a number of their key sites in the Republic of Ireland – and the Italian Moped idea was the perfect, relatable concept, one that aligned the legendary coffee brand with an equally iconic symbol of Italian culture. The design was progressed through sketches and then into white prototyping to allow us to tweak the structural design and then create a graphic design of the Lavazza Moped. The end result was a fantastic achievement in the outlets that it was positioned in and will be rolled out into more outlets in the months ahead.
As the design, print and installation partner of Three Ireland, Delta is tasked each year to raise the bar and create an interactive display with an impactful effect, driving customers to buy their products. This year was no exception!
For Christmas 2016, Three Ireland had linked up with Barnardos, the children’s charity, for the sale of a book as a fundraiser. Three wanted to bring to life their memorable Christmas TV advert, The Girl and The Cloud, so not only did we house a digital screen in each window in order to show the ad we also made the screen appear as though it was part of a life-size book in the store window. The end result was exceptional as the ‘book’ affect and alignment to the popular television commercial was successfully achieved. Three’s sales at Christmas surpassed their expectations with the window displays specifically being well received and commented on!
